Saint Tropez
Since the 18th century, English people have been coming in big numbers to Nizza and spent their winter over there. The Côte d´Azur became since then a very privileged holiday resort. Though Saint-Tropez only counts 7000 inhabitants, it is one of the most famous places on the Côte d´Azur. It remained a small fisherman village typically Provençal. Saint-Tropez is the city of rich people. In the town´s harbor, wealthy people´s yachts from all over the world are gathered. Who does not arrive with a yacht, comes to town riding the latest sport car or a Harley Davidson. The only treasures of bygone days which still remain are Hotels, restaurants and memories. Nevertheless, Saint-Tropez remains an attractive city to all kind of tourists: Mainly young people come here to enjoy the liveliness of the city and the restless people living here.
The joyful atmosphere brought many foreigners and affluent Parisians to Saint-Tropez where they started building stylish villas for holidays or renovating old village houses. Saint-Tropez´s rise as the most popular city in Europe started like that. But fortunately many nature reserves were implemented in order to preserve the microcosm in and around Saint-Tropez. Here, not like elsewhere on the Mediterranean coast, you won´t find big concrete blocks and club everywhere. Instead you will enjoy interesting infrastructure where lots of small restaurants, bars, shops and markets stand alongside. Fashion brands of the whole world as well as luxurious real estates agencies are to be found directly downtown. Maisondazur specialized itself in Saint-Tropez and its surroundings.
